- The Standard Post shadeport utilises the same top structure technology of the Full Cantilever shadeport, with the exception that 4 posts are required.
- These posts are normally positioned at the 4 respective corners of the shadeport. It is however possible to off-set the position of any or all of the 4 posts in a radius of about 5’ (+/- 1,5 m) by using the iwan Shade Structure Semi Cantilever fitting(s).
- As loads are evenly distributed between the 4 posts, it is possible to use much lighter and smaller diameter tubing for the Standard Post shadeports, if compared to the Full Cantilevered shadeports. The smaller tubing also results in smaller footings (foundations) being required, the end result being a much lower priced product.
- For this reason the Standard Post structures remain popular for applications where a limited budget is available. Standard Post shadeports are suitable for use with normal or waterproof shadenet.
